SSA Grants AT&T Government Solutions Business Unit $80 Million Contract

AT&T is now slated to handle an estimated $80 million telecommunications contract for the SSA, which will cater to the decentralized network of nearly one thousand and five hundred offices across the U.S.  IN essence, the contract specifies that AT&T’s Government Solutions branch facilitate the function of being the secondary date network service provider for the entire SSA.  Currently, and the foremost point of information exchange between SSA branches, the SSANEt is tasked with handling all of these functions and required further assistance.

AT&T is excited to being the process of providing “high quality citizen service” through their state of the art MPLS infrastructure, which will be able to handle to large numbers of new applicants and users that are more likely to rely on the internet as their main source of communication with the SSA, among other things.  Additionally, service representatives for AT&T will provide local support and other technical assistance throughout the term of the contract, which will now function from Networx Universal. Other customers include major federal departments, including the Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of the Treasury.
