Social Security Disability

Supplemental Security Income, administered through the Social Security Administration, provides monthly payments to low income individuals or those with limited resources who are age 65 or older, and/or blind, and/or disabled. Your child, if under the age of 18, may qualify to receive children SSI benefits based on the program's definition of disability and the child's income and available resources contributed by family members residing in the same household.
