Moe

MOE or Month of Election. This term usually applies to retirement claims. In certain situations, a claimant can choose the month in which his benefits will start. There are many different elements a claimant must consider which can affect his decision on when to begin receiving his retirement benefits. A claimant's monthly benefit amount can differ based on the age at which he decides to start receiving benefits. If he decides to start benefits before his full retirement age, his benefit will be permanently reduced.
