Continuing Disability Review

Social Security benefit recipients have their cases reviewed and re-evaluated every three or seven years with no exceptions. This is known as a CDR or a Continuing Disability Review. Generally most recipients will have their benefits continued after the review. There are two types of continuing disability reviews, a medical continuing disability review and a work continuing disability review. To be taken off receiving benefits Social Security must prove that the recipient's medical condition has improved to the point that that claimant no longer meets that requirements and rules concerning the definition of disability as employed by the Social Security administration.
