Baptismal Certificate

The Social Security administration may allow the use of a baptismal certificate or other official religious record of a claimant's birth or baptism to determine and document a claimant's age. Evidence is required of every claimant to support their claim or their entitlement to benefits. Claimants are required to prove evidence of their identity and evidence that they have met all the requirements necessary to be entitled to the benefits they are claiming. The local Social Security office will usually advise the claimant as to what documents are needed as evidence to appropriately support the claims for benefits but the claimant will be required to provide the requested document or risk a full denial of the claim.
